Even before attending my first tradeshow or
knowing they even existed was the desire to learn; and only when
going to libraries to search out any available information on
photography proved useless to me did I then set out to Create
a Knowledge Base from scratch.
As I am legally blind there was information that books just were
not including from those within the professional realm of photography;
information that I would need if I was going to be able to succeed
at all.
I needed to know what F-stop to use, what Shutter Speed to use,
under what lighting conditions might exist, for what kind and
brand of film to be used, what millimeter of lens would be used
for the shot and how far would the camera would be from the subject.
There would be more variables that I would later add such as if
a filter was used or if an external flash device was used. In
no book was I ever able to find all of these varibles presened
in a single table. The Key Variable that I would not be able to
collect until much later was the Exposure Value found through
the use of a Light Meter. From this one value I would be able
to dangle all the rest of the data collected and where it could
become more of a science and less of guess work.
